I hated cleaning; I found it monotonous, boring, and dreaded the times in my youth when I was asked to help clean the house. However, in my late teens, I found myself a job repairing machines that bring cleaning to the next level. I found that there were ways in which cleaning could become satisfying and simple. My mission is to bring forth equipment and technology and help others find deep satisfaction not only in cleaning but also in having a clean space.
MY STORY
In 2020, I had just finished college. Like most teenagers, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life and felt lost without a clear purpose. Throughout school, there was always one subject that interested me the most: Business Studies. Guided by the school system and my parents, I decided to take it to the next level at Nottingham Trent University.
However, this turned out to be a challenging time. As I transitioned from college to university, the pandemic hit. Social contact was rare, and I felt isolated. This took a toll on my education; I found it hard to stay engaged with lectures that focused more on theory than the reality of starting and running a business. During my time in student accommodation, I also discovered a deep frustration with messy communal areas and struggled with the lack of cleanliness in shared kitchens. Realising this path wasn't for me, I made the big decision to drop out.
I took the first job I could find—working as a barback in a local nightclub, mopping floors and clearing glasses. It was hard work that I truly disliked, but it kept me moving. Soon after, a close friend offered me a role in a local warehouse repairing industrial machines. At that point, I had never even picked up a power drill, but I decided to give it a shot.
Fast forward five years, and that decision changed my life. Working for that company allowed me to take a sabbatical and travel the world alongside my friends, gaining hands-on experience I never could have found in a classroom. During my travels, I realised I have a genuine passion and admiration for the engineering behind these cleaning machines. I saw firsthand how much of a difference the right equipment makes.
I returned home knowing exactly what I wanted to do: share that expertise with the world. That is how Hire To Admire was born—a company built on years of global experience, technical knowledge, and a commitment to providing the very best in cleaning machine hire and services.
